Pet rats
Our fancy rats come from a mixed colony with dumbo, rex, Siamese and standard lines in the background. That means every litter is a surprise, and every rat is one of a kind. They're social, clever and affectionate, and they go home at 6–8 weeks already used to people.

Feeder rats
Raised on a quality diet in clean bins, so your snake or reptile gets a nutritious meal. Frozen feeders are humanely euthanized and flash-frozen.

How ordering works
Questions
Do you sell pet rats as feeders, or feeders as pets?
No. Our pet lines and feeder lines are raised separately, and pet rats are only sold to pet homes.
Are your rats purebred?
No, and we won't pretend they are. We took in a whole colony whose dumbo, rex, Siamese and standard lines had already been mixed. You'll get a healthy, friendly, one-of-a-kind rat, but we can't guarantee a variety or what babies will look like.
Why do pet rats go home in pairs?
Rats are highly social and get lonely and stressed on their own. Two same-sex rats keep each other happy.
What do I need before bringing rats home?
A multi-level wire cage with solid floors, paper-based or aspen bedding, a lab-block diet, a water bottle, and hides and hammocks. See our full care sheet for the details.
How should I store frozen feeders?
Keep them frozen until use, thaw in the fridge or in a sealed bag in warm water, and never microwave. Don't refreeze a thawed feeder.
